I used Blogger for my Foundation Blog. Blogger is a company owned by Google and was founded in august 1999. Previously to this coursework I had never done a blog before, so the quite simple user interface was great. But I think there were definitely some problems. To embed or uploaded a video/ and or photo is always quite difficult also the design of blogger is quite hard to customize in my opinion. 

 

All of the videos used on the blog were embedded YouTube videos. I found out that this was the easiest way to do so. Not only for the once I watched on YouTube but also for the once, I produced myself just because uploading to blogger is in my opinion more difficult. Additionally, if my blog were to somehow shout down, I would have the videos backed up on YouTube. 

 

For every video on the blog expect for the actual product I used Final cut. I had bought Final cut before starting the blog. But doing different types of videos for my blog allowed me to gain a better understanding for the software, which is often seen as one of Premiers largest competitors. 

 

To complete my poster for CCR 2 I wanted to use Canva, a graphic design website that offers you many templets to choose from to create amongst other things movie posters but I instantly noticed how limiting it was. So I switched to Scatch book, an app that migth not have been intended for what I was doing but worked out great. I also used a Nikon DSLR camera for the photoshoot I did for the poster. 

 

I had to convert a PowerPoints I did for this blog into Google slides, as it is easier to embed them. I switched to google slides from that point forwarded while I believe PowerPoint is the better software. Google slides is easy to access online.  

 

For CCR 3 I used Prezi as it is more aesthetic than normal PowerPoint presentations in my opinion. I never used Prezi before and quickly noticed that it is very difficult to customise (in the free version). As for example there are only approximately 13 fonts to choose from.  But in the end it was nice experimenting with a new online technology. 

 

During the entire process of creating the blog and fishing my CCR tasks I used  Wikipedia and IMDB to research and factcheck my knowledge. I also used my phone to take pictures and an 7th generation iPad to use sketchbook.  

 

Finally I used WIX, a free web development website to complete this CCR task. Wix is very easy to coutemise which I found to be great! The only con is that sometimes it reacts quite slowly but this might also be due to my WIFI or laptop. Overall, its quite easy to customize your own website on wix making it a great tool to be creative with.
